We are currently seeking a highly motivated full-time senior software engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our R&D team and help drive the development of next-generation medical devices through smart software and engineering excellence.

Your Responsibilities

As part of our interdisciplinary R&D team, you will lead the design and implementation of embedded systems and software architectures for high-risk (Class III) medical devices:

  • Define software and embedded system architectures for next-generation medical products.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and guide the software development team in designing and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions
  • Own and optimize our SW- development infrastructure (CI/CD, DevOps tools, version control, automated testing).
  • Ensure code quality through modular design, reusability, style consistency, and maintainability.
  • Develop embedded software for STM32 microcontrollers and applications on embedded Linux (Qt).
  • Perform design reviews, unit and integration testing, and ensure compliance with IEC 62304 and cybersecurity standards, and international medical device software regulations
  • Foster a high-performing, shift left engineering culture.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Embedded Systems, Medical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Solid experience in embedded systems development within regulated (ideally medical) environments.
  • Strong practical knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Git, Jira, and test automation.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of complex software systems.
  • Structured and solution-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in German and English (minimum B2 level in both).
